Hardware

• BPath BMS;
• 50 Ohm, 50 Watt pre-charge resistor;
• 3.5 inch color touch screen;
• 53-18VDC power supply;
• Gigavac switch of 400 Amp;
• On / off button with color LED ring;
• 400 Amp LEM CAB 300 flux current measurement.

Functionality

• Cell balancing for Tesla 6S modules from Model S / X (maximum 20 modules);
• Contactor switch-off at high cell voltage or low cell voltage, high module temperature;
• Error message high temperature, low temperature, high cell voltage, low cell voltage, too large difference between cell voltages;
• Pre-loading;
• State-off-charge indication. Displaying on screen and the LED ring changes from green to red depending on the charge of the battery;
• Reading of the 6 cell voltages and the 2 temperatures in each Tesla module;
• Reading of the battery current and voltage;
• BMS information via Canbus on Victron network, such as temperature, errors, SOC, voltage, current.

Extra functionality for Victron GX networks (this is not mandatory, the BPath BMS is not dependent on a brand of charger / inverter. It will balance the Tesla battery and switch off loads / chargers in unsafe situations):

• Temperature dependent charging current of Victron compatible chargers, low temperature low charging current. High temperature reduces the charging current;
• Victron charging voltage adjustable from BPath BMS;
• Storage mode, for the period when the battery is not being used. Reduced charging voltage for extended service life for Victron compatible chargers.

Interfaces

• Communication with Tesla Battery Monitoring Board;

• Potential free changeover contact for charge release;
• Heating release, cooling release.

Communication cables

Depending on the number of Tesla battery modules for which you use the module controller, you must order any necessary communication cables and/or a dummy plug. You can order these cables here (here you will also find a diagram of the required cables and possibly a dummy plug).
