Hardware

Functionality
- Cell balancing for Tesla 6S modules from Model S/X (max 26 modules);
- Balancing cell for BMW I3 modules 60/90/120 Ah (max 8 modules);
- Balancing cell for Mitsubishi Outlander modules (max 10 modules);
- Contactor tripping at high cell voltage or low cell voltage, high module temperature;
- Error message high temperature, low temperature, high cell voltage, low cell voltage, too big a difference between cell voltages;
- Preload;
- State-off-charge indication. Readout via display and the LED ring changes colour from green to red depending on the filling of the battery;
- Readout of the 6 cell voltages and the 2 temperatures in each Tesla module;
- Readout of battery current and voltage;
- BMS information via Canbus on Victron network: temperature, errors, SOC, voltage, current, highest cell voltage, lowest cell voltage;
- Selection choice Celsius / Fahrenheit.
Extra functionality for Victron GX networks (this is not mandatory, the BPath BMS does not depend on a charger/inverter brand. It will balance the Tesla battery and switch off consumers/chargers in unsafe situations):
- Temperature dependent charging current from Victron compatible chargers, low temperature low charging current. High temperature reduces the charging current;
- Victron charging voltage adjustable from BPath BMS;
- Storage mode, for the period when the battery is not used. Reduced charge voltage for extended life, for Victron compatible chargers.
Interfaces
- Communication with Tesla Battery Monitoring Board;
- CAN Bus communication with Victron GX chargers;
- Potential free changeover contact for charge enable or SOC enable;
- Heat enable, cool enable.
